Welcoming back internationals

Almost two years to the day since Australia’s borders closed, this week we welcomed the Federal Government’s announcement that Australia will open to all visa holders on Monday, 21st February 2022. This means international tourists will be able to travel quarantine-free into Queensland provided they are fully vaccinated and return a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours of entering Australia.

We look forward to welcoming back all internations into our little slice of paradise.

Kind regards,

Nobby Beach Holiday Village

Monday 7th February 2022

To our loyal guests,

The Gold Coast is now open and we look forward to welcoming all Australians

As per Queensland Government directions made on the 9th November 2021 in regards to restrictions to those unvaccinated from the 17th December 2021, we have been advised by Caravanning QLD, that as we are deemed an essential service we can accept both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests into our parks.

The Gold Coast is open to all areas from Sunday 2nd January 2022. Please note, some restrictions will still be in place, including mandatory mask wearing indoors. See the QLD Restrictions page for more information about when to wear a mask. We also ask that all guests social distance from those not within your household. Rest assured; we are running under a COVID Safe plan.

As of today, we no longer require guests to Check In via the QLD Check In app. We do still require guests to fill in our online Guest Agreement.

Cancellations due to COVID related reasons:

If you cannot fulfill your booking due to COVID border closures, lock downs and/or COVID related restrictions, our team will offer you a FREE exchange to a later date or credit (no refunds will be accepted). Please note, proof of residency and/or a doctors' certificate may be requested.

Kind regards,

Nobby Beach Holiday Village

How are we reducing the Risk of COVID-19:

We have developed a COVIDSAFE plan for all guests staying to ensure we are following government advice and doing all we can to limit the spread of Coronavirus. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Social distancing practices in all common areas and camp kitchens

  • Limits to number of persons using facilities at any time

  • Increased cleaning frequencies

  • Installation of hand sanitiser units around the village

  • Compulsory pre-arrival questionnaire for all guests to reduce any risks

  • Changes to some of our customer service procedures

Here is a FEW of the FUN things you can STILL do under our COVIDSAFE operating plan:

  • SPLASH AWAY IN THE POOLS - We have 2 heated pools open daily
  • CONQUER OUR MEGA WATERSLIDE - Our waterslide is 30 metres long and is ready to be conquered by the young and young at heart
  • SWAP STORIES AROUND OUR CAMP KITCHEN - Our communal Camp Kitchen has 3 gas BBQs, a fridge, microwave, toaster and seating for 30. It is setup for social distancing but still allows, plenty of space to relax and mingle.
  • RUN WILD IN OUR PLAYGROUND - Our children’s playground is shaded and ready for your little one.
  • TAKE A STROLL ACROSS THE ROAD - The Nobby Beach Cafe and Dining precinct is located across the road from our park, ready for you to savour delicacies from all over the world.
  • HEAD TO NOBBY BEACH - This patrolled beach is a mere 400m away and perfect for kite surfing, swimming, surfing or walking along.
  • GOLD COAST ATTRACTIONS - Our park is located centrally on the Gold Coast, theme parks, Surfers Paradise and the hinterland is only a short drive away.

As an individual you can help by following simple hygiene measures like:

  • Regular hand washing
  • Sneezing into your elbow
  • Staying at home if you're feeling sick
  • Downloading the COVIDSAFE App
  • If you are feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms, please ensure you inform our team, self-isolate and get tested.
