COVID-19 | TRAVEL SAFETY INFORMATION

 

To our loyal guests,

In line with current COVID-19 restrictions, for any stays from the 1st February 2021 onwards, guests must adhere to the following conditions with no exceptions:

* Bookings will only be accepted from holiday guests who reside in Australia. Restrictions will continue to apply for anyone who has been overseas in the last 14 days (including New Zealand). Guests will only be excluded if any future COVID hotspots arise according to the QLD Government Border Restrictions website. 

* Nobby Beach Holiday Village recommends all guests to have downloaded and activated the COVID Safe App.

* A guest declaration must be completed for all parties on arrival for potential contact tracing if required.

* All visitors must sign in via the QR code at reception. 

* The swimming pool, water slide, playground and any recreational areas are open (social distancing rules apply).

* All indoor amenities, chill-out room, laundries etc. must operate strictly in accordance with the 2 square metre per person rule.

* Social distancing practices still apply, including; 1.5m separation from others, limiting 1 person per 2m2 (excl. your household). Social distancing is the responsibility of every patron. Anybody found to be disregarding social distancing measures will be asked to leave.

* Children must be supervised at all times, while exercising and playing around the park (includes bike riding and scootering), within your camp-site, caravan, or cabin ensuring compliance with group gathering guidelines as outlined above.

* Guests must abide by safe practice and the required hygiene rules. Wash your hands regularly, cover your cough, avoid touching your face and shaking hands with anyone. Especially when using any communal facilities including laundry and communal camp kitchen.

* If you’re not feeling well please ensure you stay home for the safety of everyone. Similarly, if you or any member of your party becomes unwell while staying or up to 2 weeks after departure at Nobby Beach Holiday Village, you must advise Reception immediately on 07 5572 7533.

* Any patrons found to be disregarding any of the above conditions will be asked to leave without refund. We ask for everyone’s cooperation during this time to ensure restrictions continue to be relaxed and we can get back to normal operations as soon as possible.

* Please ensure you are also following all current QLD Government restriction as per their website

The safety and wellbeing of our staff and guests always has and always will be paramount to Nobby Beach Holiday Village, so we can assure you we are continuing to take hygiene measures very seriously. As always, our staff are here to help and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all who visit Nobby Beach Holiday Village. Please follow their instructions and ensure you continue to abide by existing State and Federal restrictions for the safety and well-being of us all.

How are we reducing the Risk of COVID-19:

We have developed a COVIDSAFE plan for all guests staying to ensure we are following government advice and doing all we can to limit the spread of Coronavirus. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Social distancing practices in all common areas and camp kitchens

  • Limits to number of persons using facilities at any time

  • Increased cleaning frequencies

  • Installation of hand sanitiser units around the village

  • Compulsory pre-arrival questionnaire for all guests to reduce any risks

  • Changes to some of our customer service procedures

Here is a FEW of the FUN things you can STILL do under our COVIDSAFE operating plan:

  • SPLASH AWAY IN THE POOLS - We have 2 heated pools open daily 
  • CONQUER OUR MEGA WATERSLIDE - Our waterslide is 30 metres long and is ready to be conquered by the young and young at heart
  • SWAP STORIES AROUND OUR CAMP KITCHEN - Our communal Camp Kitchen has 3 gas BBQs, a fridge, microwave, toaster and seating for 30. It is setup for social distancing but still allows, plenty of space to relax and mingle.  
  • RUN WILD IN OUR PLAYGROUND - Our children’s playground is shaded and ready for your little one. 
  • TAKE A STROLL ACROSS THE ROAD - The Nobby Beach Cafe and Dining precinct is located across the road from our park, ready for you to savour delicacies from all over the world. 
  • HEAD TO NOBBY BEACH - This patrolled beach is a mere 400m away and perfect for kite surfing, swimming, surfing or walking along.
  • GOLD COAST ATTRACTIONS - Our park is located centrally on the Gold Coast, theme parks, Surfers Paradise and the hinterland is only a short drive away. 

As an individual you can help by following simple hygiene measures like:

  • Regular hand washing
  • Sneezing into your elbow
  • Staying at home if you're feeling sick 
  • Downloading the COVIDSAFE App
  • If you are feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms, please ensure you inform our team, self-isolate and get tested.

What are we doing to reduce the risk of COVID-19?

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees are our highest priority as COVID-19 continues to pose a health risk across the globe.

We assure you that we are taking hygiene seriously. You can be confident that our park is being cleaned to the highest of standards, and that our staff are employing heightened levels of sanitation, from issuing your key to amenities blocks, we’re in overdrive ensuring every touchpoint has been cleaned vigilantly

What should I do if I have a booking?

If you’re uncertain about your booking please contact the park directly via email at info@nbhv.com.au, we are being inundated with calls and would appreciate emails where possible to ensure we can get back to you regarding your booking as soon as possible. We please ask for your cooperation and patience while we endeavour to respond to everyone as soon as possible, as we are currently dealing with a large number of enquiries.

If I make a new booking can I change it if circumstances change?

Due to the ever-changing nature of COVID-19, we are offering flexible booking conditions for all bookings affected by COVID-19 (proof of residency may be required). In the case that the park is forced to close or you or anyone in your travelling party become infected with the COVID-19 virus within 14 days of your arrival dates (a doctor's certificate will be required). All guests who meet these criteria have a few options regarding their booking;

  • Change your current booking to a later date, or
  • Receive a credit for monies paid to be used within 12 months of the current arrival date.

For all guests staying who are not in a QLD identified hotspot area as per the QLD Government website, the parks normal booking and cancellation policy applies, however, we will continue to monitor this situation on a daily basis and update our policies where applicable, all updates to be provided on this page.

COVID-19 Booking Guarantee: A free exchange to a later date (within 12 months of your original booking date). Valid only if the park is forced to close due to COVID-19 or if you or your travelling party becomes infected with the COVID-19 virus within 14 days of your arrival date (a doctors certificate will be required).
